New Venue opening soon
Slugtown is a non profit Community Interest Company, based in Shieldfield, Newcastle Upon Tyne. They are an artist run gallery who support early-career artists and have a program of events consisting of public exhibitions as well as free workshops and events.
Recently Slugtown have finished a crowdfunding campaign as a way to raise money to refit a building in Shieldfield to become their gallery space, they have also resieved Arts Council England funding for the project.
From starting as a Gallery in the front room of their house in Heaton it will be really exciting to see the Gallery grow in its new premises.
