Guttersnipe/DĖUTZ at TOPH: TOPH@WORKPLACE

30 November 2018
WORKPLACE GATESHEAD (SIDE DOOR ENTRANCE ON NELSON ST) £5 ENTRY BYOB 20:00 - 23:00 https://www.facebook.com/events/1170911993068109/

TOPH welcomes the return of Leeds-based power duo GUTTERSNIPE, accompanied by Cologne's DĖUTZ. On previous visits they've shredded minds in the leisure-class purgatory of the Sage (for TUSK Festival), and gave the old old police house a heavy working over. Drum/guitar/voice/circuitry meltdown, polyrhythmic-picnoleptic blank out, grindcore minus the ketchup-stained longsleeves with drawings of fannies on them.

DĖUTZ is a queer noisecore band formed in 2016 at Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Germany. They combine elements of Noise, Hardcore / Punk with media and performance Art. They scream, sing and speak in English, German, Kurdish, Persian and Dada.

NOTHING SEXUAL is the babel-tongued soundclash incarnation of TOPH denizens Mariam Rezaei and Mark Wardlaw. With 6 (real and virtual) decks, drum machines and the deepest mp3 crates in the biz, expect a free-rave meltdown of footwork, grime, techno, soca and god knows what else.
