Touche, Éclat artist's talk : Nina Chua, Daniel Davies, and Joanne Masding in conversation with Dean Hughes

Nina Chua, Daniel Davies, and Joanne Masding will talk about their work currently showing in Touche,Éclat at Workplace Gateshead. The event will take place in the gallery and will be chaired by Dean Hughes who will take up the post of Professor and Head of the Department of Arts at Northumbria University from January 2018.

Dean Hughes (b.1974 Manchester, UK) studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London between 1993-96. He was included in the British Art Show 5 in 2000 and his work was featured in Phaidon's 2005 book Vitamin D New Perspectives in Drawing. He has made solo exhibitions in the UK, Europe, and the USA. Group exhibitions include Big Minis at CAPC Bordeaux; Lonely at the Top, MUHKA Antwerp, and Newspeak: British Art now, Saatchi Gallery. From January 2018, he will be Professor and Head of the Department of Arts at Northumbria University.

 

Nina Chua graduated form am MA in Fine Art from Manchester School of Art in 2011. Daniel Davies graduated from his BA Fine Art Painting at Northumbria University in 2015.
