Writing

- Our Job Descriptions are inclusive
Advertising
- Our jobs are widely advertised to reach a diverse range of applicants
- The application pack is available in multiple formats
Shortlisting
- We review applications anonymously at the shortlisting stage, where possible
- CVs are separated at the first stage of assessment, they will only be referred to in the case of candidates being equally competent for the role
- We will apply positive action where legal and appropriate
- Equal Opportunities monitoring information may be taken into account at final shortlisting stage if candidates are equally competent for the role
- Shortlisting panels are as diverse as possible
Interviewing
- Interview panels are as diverse as possible
- Interview questions are pre-determined so each applicant answers the same question
- There is a structured marking system in place
- Interviewers are aware of unconscious bias
Applicants
- We actively monitor the diversity of our applicants to identify where future recruitment needs to reach
- Applications can be submitted in a variety of formats
